Our Founder, Alex Stepinski worked in the microelectronics industry for nearly 30 years, and throughout this period, he never gave into the temptation of leveraging his experience to transfer US jobs and technology overseas for personal financial gain.
On the contrary, over the past decade, he has planned PCB Fab projects for OEM’s which collectively realized >$500M in capital investments, over 80,000 square meters/month of finished PCB Fab capacity, the creation of hundreds of well-paid jobs, and the invention of game-changing process technologies & business models to support it, all in the good old United States of America.
After an intense mid-career academic break from 2021-2023, Alex founded Smart Factory Design as an international public benefit company with two main purposes.
1. Making Green, Sustainable Manufacturing Globally Economical so that it is the preferred choice for investors, regardless of location.
2. Developing technologies which support an economical next generation eco-system of highly autonomous manufacturing work cells, across a wide range of microelectronics product types.
Smart Factory Design services the entire global market. We take technologies that were only previously available to OEM’s, improve them, and then provide them to the world market at a fraction of the cost through our regional partners. Our partners are all proven process equipment companies with decades of experience, and abundant references.
